UCLICK® Launches Comics Gadget for iGoogle

Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) October 16, 2008

UCLICK® Digital Entertainment, America’s #1 online and mobile provider of comics and casual games launched the GoComics gadget for iGoogle, giving comics fans a convenient way to add their favorite comic strips to their iGoogle homepage. With a loyal following of tens of millions of users, iGoogle makes it easy to customize home pages with news, weather and other dynamic content including daily comics from the new Uclick gadget.

The GoComics gadget for iGoogle revolutionizes how comics are enjoyed and shared by giving iGoogle users instant access to the current-day’s comics including many that may not be available in a user’s local newspaper. Among the dozens of comics featured are out-of-print favorites “Calvin and Hobbes” and “Bloom County”.

The Uclick managed website GoComics.com powers the gadget with its extensive collection of more than 350 daily comics from classics “Calvin and Hobbes”, “FoxTrot”, “Garfield” and “Doonesbury” to cutting edge strips like “Argyle Sweater” and “Cul de Sac”.

The gadget also highlights contributions from the GoComics.com web community, including comments, tags and favorites from thousands of posts by the website’s registered users.

“Uclick worked closely with the iGoogle development team to create a new comics experience that’s fun and intuitive,” said Uclick CEO Douglas Edwards. “We also give online readers a glimpse into the huge depth of content and community discoverable at the GoComics website while creating a new revenue source for our cartoonists. We believe in this art form as popular entertainment and the GoComics gadget for iGoogle helps keep comic creators doing what they love to do.”

“As a publisher on mobile phones and the desktop web we’re constantly reinventing how we distribute comics,” continued Edwards. “iGoogle is an incredible platform that reaches millions looking for a favorite comic or who may be discovering the medium again. Our new GoComics gadget for iGoogle is part of our strategy to expand the cartooning medium to readers old and new through digital media. We deliver daily entertainment features wherever our readers want their comics.”

This is just one of the many innovative distribution strategies that Uclick is pioneering. They recently launched a new mobile iPhone application that enables users to read comics on their Apple iPhones or iPod Touch handsets. Ultimately, this not only extends their reach to comics fans but paves the way for other exciting applications to come.

TheCrayfish.com Weblog Announces All-New User Interface and Content Strategy. Content To Focus On Gadgets, Gizmos, Politics, and Squirrels.

(PRWEB) May 23, 2004

TheCrayfish.com weblog and megasite (http://www.thecrayfish.com) released version 2004.5 of its user interface today, along with all-new, updated content. Lee Coursey, the site’s owner, announced a renewed commitment to provide updated, timely news about gadgets, gizmos, politics, and squirrels to the Internet community.

Version 2004.5 of TheCrayfish.com offers an easier-to-read front page, improved navigation, and more frequently updated content. The home page features current, timely news about electronic gadgets and gizmos, as well as political commentary and suicide squirrels.

“We realized our primary audience wanted more information about cool new PDA’s, MP3 players, and cell phones,” said site owner Lee Coursey. “While we will continue to shine the spotlight of truth on the ongoing attacks by suicide squirrels upon America’s electric distribution infrastructure, we will begin providing additional coverage of new and unique gadgets and gizmos as they are introduced around the world.”

TheCrayfish.com has provided quality content and service for over 1/20th of a century. During the summer of 2000, the site gained notoriety for its advanced Presidential Candidate Matcher, which drew mentions from several online magazines and spawned a large number of imitators. In addition, the site’s reference desk and pregnancy information pages continue to provide important information to tens of people every day.

Today, TheCrayfish.com offers news and information on a number of topics, including cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDA’s,) MP3 players, the move toward a national retail sales tax, and attacks on America by suicide squirrels.

New Focus on Technology

The 2004.5 release of TheCrayfish.com web site displays Lee Coursey’s commitment to giving Internet users a single place to get news and information about the latest electronic gadgets and gizmos released by the world’s major technology companies. “No gadget is too weird or too apparently useless to warrant mention on our site,” said Coursey. “If someone has introduced a new hand-held electric dog washer or a new portable music player and hotdog slicer, we want the public to know about it.”

Continued Monitoring of Suicide Squirrels

TheCrayfish.com will continue to monitor the actions of suicide squirrels working America, with comprehensive coverage of their attempts to disrupt commerce though their continued attacks on power plants, power substations, and other electrical facilities. “We know how critical this issue remains for our readers,” said Coursey, “and we want to assure the public that, even though suicide squirrels live and chatter among us, their actions will not go unnoticed. America will not rest until we eradicate this menace!”

Why isn’t the PSP popular?

06 May

by bump

Question by Problem?: Why isn’t the PSP popular?
Gosh… did anyone read that article on “Yahoo! Gadgets”? It was about how the PSP will disappear due to nobody buying them. My cousin has one. He’s a 15 year-old boy. I always thought that the PSP was geared toward teen boys. I have a Nintendo DS myself, and I love it.
Thank you, Larry H! I think your answer was the best.
